Cookie policy

What are cookies?
A cookie is a file that is downloaded onto your computer when accessing certain websites. Among
other functions, cookies allow a website to store and retrieve information about the browsing habits of a user or their computer and, depending on the information contained and the way that the computer is used, they can even be used to recognise a user.

What types of cookies do and its websites use? The websites use cookies and other similar mechanisms (hereafter referred to as Cookies). Cookies are files that are sent to a browser by means of a web server, in order to record the User’s activity on a certain website or on all of the pages, apps and/or services available on the Websites of (hereafter referred to as the Services). The main objective of Cookies is to grant the User faster access to the selected Services. Additionally, Cookies personalise the services and advertising that can be seen on the websites, thus offering each User information that interests them or that may be of their interest, according to the use that they make of the Services.

The websites use Cookies to personalise and assist the user’s browsing to the greatest possible extent. Cookies are only associated with an anonymous User and do not provide references that allow the User’s personal information to be deduced. The User can adjust their browser’s settings such that it notifies them and rejects the use of Cookies sent by the websites, without prejudice to the User’s ability to access the Content. Nevertheless, we would like to point out that, in this case, the quality of the running of the website may be compromised.

Registered users who have signed up or logged in will be able to benefit from more personalised
services in line with their profile, thanks to the combination of information stored in the cookies with the personal information used when they registered. The said Users expressly accept that this information be used for the indicated purposes, without prejudice to their right to reject or disable the use of cookies.

Similarly, the websites will be able to know all of the Services requested by the Users, in such a way that they will be able to provide or offer suitable information according to the interests and preferences of each User.

Type, purpose and operation of the Cookies: Cookies, depending on their duration, can be split into session or permanent Cookies. The former type expire when the User closes the browser. The latter type expire when the purpose that they serve has been fulfilled (for example, so that the User is identified in the Services), or alternatively when they are manually deleted.

LOGIN COOKIES: Login Cookies are created once the User has signed up or subsequently logs in, and they are used to identify the user in the Services for the following purposes:

To identify the User throughout their use of the site in such a way that, if a Service, the browser or the computer is closed and at another time or on another day the said Service is accessed again, the user will continue to be identified, enabling users to browse without the need to identify themselves again. This function can be removed if the User clicks on the “log out” option, in such a way that this Cookie is deleted and next time they enter the Service the User will have to log in again to identify themselves.

Additionally, some Services may use connections with social networks such as Facebook. When the User signs up for a Service using credentials from a social network, they authorise the social network to save a persistent Cookie that remembers their identity and guarantees that they can access the Services until it expires. The User can delete this Cookie and cancel access to the Services by means of social networks by updating their preferences on the social network in question.

GEOLOCATION COOKIES: These cookies are used by software that attempts to geographically
position the location of the connected computer, smart phone, tablet or television, so that in a
completely anonymous way the most suitable content and services are offered.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICE COOKIES: On some of the pages of the websites, third-party cookies can be installed to better manage and improve the services offered. In this regard, mention should be made of the services of GoogleMaps, YouTube and WordPress. Google inserts a number of cookies on any page that includes a map from Google or access to the YouTube services. The website has no control over these third-party cookies, but if you wish to find out how they work or when they expire, you can review their cookies policy. Google’s Privacy Policy.

ANALYTIC COOKIES: Each time a User visits a Service, an external supplier tool (specifically, Google Analytics or others that may be added to this list in the event of variations) creates an analytic Cookie on the User’s computer. This Cookie, which is only created during the visit, will act as a way to identify the visitor anonymously on their next visits to Services. The main objectives are:

To anonymously identify Users that are browsing by means of the “Cookie” (it identifies browsers and devices, not persons) and therefore calculate the approximate number of visitors and their trends over time.

To identify the most visited content in an anonymous manner and therefore the content that is deemed most attractive for Users. To know whether the User that is accessing the website is new or if it is a repeated visit.

Important notice: Unless the User decides to sign up for a Service, the Cookie will never be associated with any personal information that can identify the User. The said Cookies will only be used for statistical purposes that help to optimise the User’s browsing experience.

ADVERTISING COOKIES: These types of Cookies help to provide further information on the
advertisements displayed to each anonymous User of the Services. For instance, they store the duration or frequency at which advertisements are viewed, the User’s interaction therewith, and User browsing patterns and/or behaviour, given that this information helps to put together a profile of advertising interest. This means that advertising that is in line with the User’s interests can be displayed.

THIRD-PARTY ADVERTISING COOKIES: In addition to the advertising managed by the websites, in their Services, the websites offer advertisers the option of displaying advertisements by means of third parties (“Ad-Servers”). Thus, these third parties can store Cookies sent from the Services that are obtained from the Users’ browsers, and access the information that is saved therein.

How to disable Cookies in the main browsers: It is normally possible not to accept the Cookies in a browser, or to stop accepting the Cookies of a particular Service.

Cookie settings can be changed on all modern browsers. These settings can normally be found in the ‘Options’ or ‘Preferences’ menu of your browser. Similarly, you can adjust your browser or e-mail administrator settings, and install free plug-ins to prevent Web Bugs from being downloaded when opening e-mails.
